FAQ

What is Through a Woman’s Eyes?
Through a Woman’s Eyes is a nonprofit art show created in 2017 by members of the Haddonfield Memorial High School 50/50 (Gender Equality) Club in collaboration with the Evening Membership Division of the Haddon Fortnightly. The show features the work of local female artists and benefits Girls Learn International.

What is Girls Learn International?

The HMHS 50/50 Club is a chapter of GLI, and all proceeds from this event benefit their organization. From their website: “Girls Learn International (GLI) educates and energizes students in the global movement for girls’ access to education. The GLI Program supports the empowerment of students as they discover that through their own creative initiatives, dedication, and passionate leadership, they can create real solutions that address the obstacles facing girls and women here and around the world. Student-to-student, and student-to-parent, GLI is building a movement of informed advocates for universal girls’ education and a new generation of leaders and activists for social change.”

How do I send in my registration fee?

Send cash or check (made out to “The EMD of the Haddon Fortnightly”) to Haddon Fortnightly PO Box 321 Haddonfield along with your artist contract. Students at Haddonfield Memorial High School can give their fees directly to Ms. Gammie or a club officer.

What if I want to sell my work at the show?

We encourage artists to use our show as a way to market and sell their work, and we take no commission off of sales.  However, The EMD of the Haddon Fortnightly and the HMHS 50/50 Club are not responsible for facilitating the sale of artwork during the show. If an artist wishes to sell her work, she must either be present at the show to speak to potential buyers, or else must leave her contact information with the front desk. It is recommended that artists selling work bring their business cards with them for distribution to potential buyers.
